Factories First Aid at Work

This course is designed for low-risk workplaces and covers basic first aid skills.

This course is ideal for machine operators, forklift operators, foremen, supervisors, floor managers etc.

Duration and Time:

First Aid for Factories course is a 1-day, 6-hour course.

Course Content:

Kenyan Directorate of Occupational Safety & Health Services (DOSHS) registered and approved courses.

  • Incident Assessment – The systematic approach to managing first aid incidents.
  • Airway Management – How to establish a safe open airway. Handling an unconscious casualty using the recovery position. 
  • Breathing Problems – How to administer CPR (Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation) including the use of an AED. Chocking and cardiac problems such as Heart Attacks and Angina. 
  • Circulation Problems – Bleeding management and treatment for Shock. Includes proper bandaging techniques.
  • Common Illnesses – Asthma, Diabetes, Epilepsy and Food Allergies.
  • Minor Injuries – Small cuts, splinters, and burns.
  • Up to date – Current information on regulations.
  • Action Plan – How to create an action plan and how to use it.
  • Accident Reporting – How to report an incident at the workplace.
